English Speaking Policy

All education students in Silang Campus were assigned to capture students who keep speaking Tagalog inside our campus.

Titel Ferrer wow ha? Magsalita ng sariling linguahe kukuhanin i.d?

Don't be upset Ate.  It is just a part of our campaign to develop the skills of every student in speaking the global language.  And I think as a college student, just like what my professor said, we have to make our skills in speaking English well-developed so that we will become more globally competitive.

Titel Ferrer Okay. But speaking english doesn't mean we're already globally competitive. To be globally competitive, we should know the field of our specialization and we must at least know 2 or 3 languages.

Tonee Ainah Cabodil Estubo Well for me it does matter. It isn't enough for you to speak in english 'fluently' but also you should know the right context of every word and how to use them appropriately.

Ferdinand Raloso I love english, but not to this extent. This is lame.

Ayyy! Napa-english tuloy ako. Hahaha

AJ Cruzado Caparida Tibayan Nope. Actually, highschool students in our campus can speak english more fluently than us, the college students.  BUT as an english major, we have to be more fluent than them.

Eicen Jhay Poblete Feeding your vocabulary through books is one of the best ways. I don't think speaking english all the time inside the campus could help to nurture ones' vocabulary.. They would just bother themselves talking and talking to one another and laugh at themselves.. If you really want to be good at it, then read and watch foreign movies.. Rather than talking to your classmates and friends who are not good at speaking english. They won't even bothet themselves to correct your grammar or what so ever. So how would you know if you're still right or the other way? Hehehe

AJ Cruzado Caparida Tibayan Uhm. yeh. I am just a freshman. Uhm .. Kuya I saw your post in your wall. You mentioned there our policy and you called it "STUPID". Hindi po kita inaaway BUT I am telling you that you did the wrong move.

AJ Cruzado Caparida Tibayan Kuya Eicen, yeah that are the best ways to achieve that. But I think, speaking English with your friends, classmates, etc .. can really help you a lot with your vocabulary, even using it in your text messages. Yeh watching movies WITH SUBTITLES can really help us a lot, I can relate myself to that.

Mariane Macasinag what is the sense of our right of expression? we are living in a democratic country..

Mariane Macasinag natatakot tayong magspeak nng english dahil baka mali ang grammar or pronunciation...at higit sa lahat tagot atyong mapahiya.. accept that

Eicen Jhay Poblete Japanese don't speak english.. If you want to make a business with them, then use their dialect. My point here is that, Being fluent in english isn't the basis.. There are many filipinos who are highly competitive in many ways even they can't speak in it natively.
